Women's Trip

Wow! What a great trip we just had with 7 awesome women from Second. They were here for a week hosting nights for women in our home. We did all kinds of crafts, cooking classes and life classes. It was so cool to see God at work all week.

There were 41 different women who came through the house and one night we had 29 women plus kids!! It was a crazy and crowded night! But overall the week was amazing.

Here are a few cool pictures and things I wanted to share.
There were several gals in the church here who were leading throughout the week.
Yuri taught a cooking class

Paty (in green shirt) taught a craft

Erika and Silvia both taught a life application class

A life class

Erika teaching

Silvia teaching

Silvia Mag. came everyday to help in whatever way she could. She was an amazing help to us all week.
and she also taught a cooking class!
Now the ladies from Second...
Ellen lead a life class

So did Nancy

Carla taught cake decorating

Pam was our amazing craft instructor

Paula worked the front door and sign in table

Carolyn was working the kitchen to serve the women

Coni taught a cooking class

Everyone was always willing to step up and do whatever needed to be done. At any given point we were helping with crafts, serving drinks and building relationships with the women of P.V.

This year we passed out fliers at the bus stops near the house. I think it worked really well.

It was an amazing week and we are already seeing some of the fruit from our labor.

*Ladies thank you so much for all your hard work. It was a great week and we look forward to seeing how God is going to use and bless your efforts down here. We sure do love you all.

Pedicures!

Before Betsy's wedding she treated us to pedicures!
How awesome is that!

Here is the bride to be putting her make-up on so we can take a picture :)

I still have my toes painted and I remember my friends and that special time we had together every time I put on my flip flops.

That was fun girls...we need to do it again soon.

Winter Wonderland

We wanted our friends here in Mexico to see the snow and ice we were greeted with while in Missouri.
We sure don't miss that!!

Rock Band

While we were home. Preston picked up a new game....Rock Band.
I think he played it every spare minute he had. He played with his brothers, Gary and even his Mom.

He has definitely had rock band withdrawals since we have been back to P.V.

Here are some videos of them playing Rock Band. Sorry the second one is so dark.

Pray for Internet

Well again we are sitting in Starbucks. This time we are not here to only enjoy time together and a nice cup of coffee, but we are here using their internet! Our internet modem has finally breathed it's last breath. We have already talked to the phone company and we should be receiving a new modem in 1-3 days. This happened Saturday when we woke up in the morning. So pray for us to be patient in the wait.

We had a great day Saturday and I didn't lose my mind.... yet. The Lord has sustained me this far. Pray I continue to rely on him and make it through this small bump in the road.

Sorry women's trip that I haven't posted pictures yet and for all those who prayed. Please know it is on the top of the list when we get internet back.

So, now you know how you can pray for us this week!! We will be coming up here to check our email but we won't be responding to all emails right away. We sure do love you all and we will miss the communication with you for a few days!
Love

Spreading the joy of Candy!!

When we came back from the U.S I had brought back my weakness...Candy!
So one Sunday while I was teaching Santiago in our Kids Church, I decided to introduce him to a little bit of heaven. We tried Skittles...which he loved and he guessed every flavor as he was eating it.
Then he tried Twizzlers. He wasn't a huge fan. He said you had to chew them too much.
Bringing and sharing a little home to Mexico!!
