Friday's Win

Good news everyone! Preston's team won their basketball game this Friday. I promised pictures and I have them hot off the press.
Here is a little team huddle on the court. Remember Preston is #5

This was the sad score after the first quarter.
I like this picture. Preston was shooting but was fouled. Preston had 7 points this game. He made a 3 pointer and 2 baskets.

Defense!! Defense!!
Get the rebound Preston!! Preston said he had around 400 rebounds. I say 20 or so.
This unfortunately is the end of the game....we are the winners but it was a very low scoring game. We won the game in the last few minutes. That was they only time they had the lead!!
In seriousness, this is a great ministry for Preston. He is such an encourager to his team and the other team while he is out there. Even during the game Christ's love was flowing from him into those guys. Pray they would see the difference in him. And as Preston would say...pray for more wins!!
Love you guys!

Our Weekend!

I am sure many of you are wondering what Preston and I did for Valentine's Day. We actually did nothing. Neither of us are big V-day people and we had church that night so we decided to put it off until the weekend. We call V-day....celebrate our love day. So we were going to celebrate our love on Saturday.
We found out that some friends of JD were coming into town and we were going to meet up with them to have dinner and chat. We had met them several years ago in Manzanillo so it was good to catch up with them and get to know them better. We ended up spending the whole weekend with them and another couple that came down with them. Their names are Bryan and Amy, James and Casey. Each couple has two boys so it was a blast to hang out with them as well. We really enjoyed our time with these two families. They were such a blessing to us.

We are looking at our week ahead of us....and it doesn't look like we are going to celebrate our love until Saturday. I guess better late than never!!

Preston has a big game this Friday at 5. I will be there with my camera ready!
This Wednesday is my last Spanish class. I am going to miss that time with Lupita!

That's all that's new with us. Please pray for a couple friends of ours. We have a really huge burden for them and we want as many people praying as possible.
Pray for my best friend Tammi and her husband Gary to sell their house!
Pray for our dear friends Ed and Nancy. He found out he has cancer and they are under a lot of stress right now. Please help us lift up these requests! We love you all and we thank you for being a part of our everyday lives!!!

My little STAR. GO #5

Well Preston has joined a basketball league with some guys here in town who play basketball in a local park. Preston would go and play with them but it was rough street ball. Now they are joining a league where they actually have to play the real game. Preston is really excited for this new opportunity for many reasons.

1. It is an open door to building deeper relationships
2. Getting some extra exercise
3. They have real jersey uniforms and he hasn't had one since Jr. High!!

They are actually first in the league right now. They had a few games while we were in the States but Preston's first game was last night!!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the debut because I was hosting a scrap booking night (getting ready for V-day). So we don't have pictures of the game but here is the game face from Preston....

He scored 12 points and had maybe 8 rebounds. Unfortunately they lost but Preston is very excited. The next game is Sunday at 5 but Preston is preaching!! He told the guys he had to preach and they were excited to hear there could be someone praying for them while they were playing!!
We find out tomorrow when the next game is though. I will definitely attend and bring back some pictures for everyone!
If anyone knows any scouts from the NBA please call them and let them know Preston is back on the courts hooping it up!!

PG- I think you have a whole new gamut of opportunities in the near future. I am just happy to walk by your side and support you the whole way. I Love you!

To the States and back

We had a wonderful trip back to the States. It was busy and quick but we are now safe and sound back in P.V. While we were home we experienced every kind of weather you can imagine! We are glad to be back where the weather is hot and hotter. Again I didn't take many pictures but here are the ones I took.
SNOW!!!
The first weekend we were home we had a retreat with all the Second Baptist missionaries. This is a picture of our serious mafia game..oh I mean business meeting. This retreat was a great time to get refreshed and ready for GIC and the next year ahead. It is always great to catch up with friends and hear what has happened over the past year.
Preston and JP rocking it out on the guitar. We are excited to announce they will soon be going on tour. Alicia and I have a rough life a head of us, being rock star's wives.
Then was Global Impact!!! We had a great time with our church family. We were able to share about the work God is doing here in PV and it was awesome to learn what God is doing in the rest of the world. It was a great time of worshiping God. It was so great to see all the people who had been down here on trips again!
Here is a cute picture of me and my mom with our cute matching coats.
Good-bye everyone! We didn't get to see everyone but we do love you all and we can't wait until the next time we will see each other. We love you all and we are thankful for the time we got to spend at home. Love Preston and Courtney
