Christmas Eve

We woke up early Christmas eve and headed out to a surfing beach that is 1 hour from P.V.
It was Per-fect! I LOVE being on the beach before the sun is in full swing. There was a nice cool breeze so I stretched out my blanket on the beach. Mom and Dad looked for sea glass and shells while the boys "hit" the waves.

They rented the boards for an hour and had a blast. They came back with lots of stories and excitement in trying to learn something new. They hung out on the beach for a while and then headed back out for another hour of fun. This time, my dad joined them. We never got a picture of my dad but he was out there!








By the end of the 2 hours they were spent! We headed to the nearest OXOX (gas station) to stock up on drinks and snacks and headed back home. It was seriously the best trip to the beach I have ever had. You know me, I am not a beach girl, but I could definitely get use to those mornings at the beach.

Sunsets in P.V

This is a great time of the year for sunsets. There are nights when the sunset will light up the entire sky. When my family is here, they love to take advantage of the P.V sunsets and the beach. Check out some of our recent sunset photos.













The thing I love about sunsets is that we can admire all the beauty in the colors and thank God for the amazing day he is wrapping up. But it is crazy to think on the other side of the world someone is watching that same beauty arise to a new day.

Jungle Hike

One afternoon my dad, brother and Preston all went out for a river/jungle hike. They were out there for several hours. They came back looking like they had a good workout. Too bad they didn't see any monkeys!

Family Time

My family came down here to P.V to visit for a week. This was the first time they all were able to come at the same time. It was SO great to have them here during Christmas. We went non-stop while they were here.
We....
*visited the taco stand
*watched several sunsets on the beach
*went downtown for lunch and the boardwalk
*went on many beach runs/swims (oh wait that was just my brother and dad)
*stayed home and cooked lots of yummy food (that would be the other 3 who weren't out running :)
*went to a beach to surf
*went to the beach to build a sandman
*went on a hike (that would be the guys only)
*mom went to the Dr. visit with me so, she was able to meet my Dr. and see the baby again.
*celebrated the birth of Jesus together
*played lots of Aggravation
*laughed A LOT!!!

Pictures will be coming for some of those activities!! But, I wanted to leave you with a taste of our goofiness. This is an ice cream run we made one night to a local plaza.

What great memories we had. I will cherish every second I had with them. We are definitely one crazy little family. The new addition should be interesting ;) I can't wait for her to meet and love her family.

Decorating for Christmas

Since it is January and the Christmas decorations have been packed back up for a few weeks now; what better time to share how we decorated for Christmas this year :) Alright truth is, I am a little behind. Since I am so far behind these posts are going to be short, sweet and to the point!!

We did decorate for Christmas this year with our fake tree and LOTS of penguins. This year the pictures look a little different. Quite the belly I have!!!

The new place!!

Sunday was our first service in the new place. We now meet at 12:00 noon on Sundays. We are meeting in a classroom/conference room at a local school that is downtown.

We have lots of room to grow! Pray God starts filling all those chairs.

There is also a separate room for the kids.

Good-bye 2009, Hello 2010

Last night we thought back on 2009. It was a great year filled with many adventures. We both agree our anniversary was the best day of the year. Celebrating 5 years of marriage together and learning of our 5 week old baby who was growing inside of me.

In 2009 we have seen lives changed and people learn about God's saving grace.
Baby Cooper was born and made it out healthy and strong.
We were able to see our families several times throughout the year.
We celebrated the marriage of two dear couples: Betsy & Barron and Jonathan & Andrea.
We have spent 8 months letting God prepare us for the next adventure a head.
We have seen the church here form more and take more ownership.

Looking forward to 2010.
We have NO clue what the future has in store. We do know one thing. It will be filled with LOTS of new adventures and LOTS of learning. We anxiously await to see our daughter's beautiful face and be able to hold and love on her. Past that, we are ready to be willing vessels to go and do whatever God has for us!!

We pray the best for each of you and your family. We are so thankful for our families, our friends, both our church families and to all who support us with your prayers. 2009 wouldn't have been the same without each of you. We look forward to what 2010 entails!!!
