The Women Invade Vallarta!

This past week 16 women came down to Vallarta from Second. We were delighted to have them in our home. I chose invaded Vallarta as the heading but it is not a bad invasion! It is an awesome invasion. They came down here and worked non-stop for a week. They were all over this city spreading the love of Christ.
Here are the beauties!
Each morning and into the afternoon we would go out and distribute information about the women's Cafe and also info about the new church. Here are a few shots from those outings.

Take note of all the virgins and things on the wall.

Each night we held a Cafe for women in our home. The Cafe consisted of scrapbooking crafts, cooking demos and life application classes. Here is a picture of Terri teaching a class. The women loved the classes and it was neat to see them interested in how the Bible was applicable to life.
Two nights Carla demonstrated how to make and decorate a cake. Each lady also was able to decorate their very own cupcake.
Here is Brigida decorating her cupcake
Lupita!
Each night we had many women attend. We were able to build relationships with the women through crafts. Here are some pictures of the craft times.

Ellen made a new friend....Lupe
This is Silvia and her friend Veronica
We had awesome turn outs! We really felt like the Lord brought the people who He wanted there.
On Thursday we did not have the Cafe because it was church night. That night there were 9 people in church and 6 were new! Some came because they received information and they felt the Holy Spirit was on the piece a paper. That was our prayer!! Here is the church while Preston is preaching
Here is the church singing praises. The Lord is so good. Please rejoice with us and all He did this last week.

To the people who supported us with prayers this week: We could feel your prayers. The Lord brought the people He wanted. We had an awesome week and we felt the presence of the Lord. It was evident He was working in the lives around us and in our own lives.

To the women who came on the trip: We love each and every one of you. Our hearts will always be bonded because of this amazing week we have experienced together. The Lord brought each of you here for a reason and we know we were blessed by your presence. We prayed for Big things and that is just what the Lord did. We are eternally grateful for each sacrifice you made to come down here. We pray the Lord would bless each one of you and we look forward to working with you again soon. May the Lord continue to use you on your mission fields in Springfield. We love you all.

Arbol bit the dust

I am not a tree expert but I don't think your tree is suppose to look this color

Here I had all these good intentions and they all went to waste because I killed our tree. I think I over watered him!!! Ooops. I guess I was just too good of a mom!!!
If you missed the info about Arbol see blog December 13, it will explain the short life of Arbol.
Arbol Rest in Peace!!!

Christmas Party with Friends

Silvia from the church wanted to have a Christmas party at her house with lots of friends. This party was the Wednesday after Christmas. Here are some pictures of this get together. We were able to see some faces we hadn't seen in a while and we were able to meet some new people.

For those of you who have been praying for Silvia's brother Marti...we were able to meet him that night! Keep praying for him and for him to find the Lord.

Boys will be Boys!
And Girls will be Girls! (we made the boys all pull their pants up to have high waters!

Please begin praying for these faces in this picture. Pray for the Lord to keep bringing them into our paths. Pray they would each begin their own search for God and find Him.

Please pray specifically for the girl in the red shirt on the front row. Her name is Christina. She is a single mother and we are really praying for her to come study with us. She always says she will come but she never does. Pray the Lord would really get a hold of her.
Thanks for all your prayers for Puerto Vallarta!! We love you all.

Happy Birthday Betty G

Today is the birthday of the famous Betty G. This is Preston's mother.

Thank you mom for all the years of hard work and sacrifice to support our family. You have always been a source of spiritual strength for our family. You have taught all of us to always look to the Lord for our strength. This advice has helped as we have ventured through life. Your love and support will never be forgotten. We hope this birthday brings a freshness to your walk with God.
Betty we hope you have a wonderful birthday and many more to come! We love you tons!

Christmas Gifts

Thank you everyone for all the gifts and cards you sent down here. We had a fun time opening up our new gifts. We have had an even better time playing with all the gifts!
Everyone was again so generous this year and we are blessed to have such good families and friends. Here are some pictures with us opening some of our gifts
Preston looks like a little kid here. Preston got lots of tools, some books, and new praise music.
A card from Preston's Dad
I got lots of penguin stuff! I was excited because it was a place setting and we used it for our Christmas dinner.

Preston got a HUGE pack of razor blades from Ed and Nancy. Thanks guys!!!
This is from my sister and best friend Tammi. This is called "Sisters at heart". It is so us!
Preston with his new saw from Jason and Stephanie
A cross with scripture for our house from Jason and Stephanie
Yeah!!! A new cartridge from my parents!!!
Lots of scrapbooking stuff from Jason and Stephanie
More scrapbooking stuff from mom and dad
My Dad really wanted to buy Preston an I-pod but I told him to just get him a MP3 player because Preston was just using it to exercise and we didn't need to spend a lot of money for no reason. So I went with my Dad and helped him pick out Preston's MP3 player. Then I opened up my last gift from my parents and my Dad had bought me one too!! It was such a surprise. So Preston and I loaded on some songs and we have been going to the track. Preston running and me walking. It was such a sweet gift.....thanks Daddy-O.

Again thanks everyone for the generosity. We have been using our MP3 players at the track this week and we have scrapbooked a few times this week as well. We are so blessed and honored for your gifts of thoughtfulness. We love you all.
