Cooper

While we were home I was able to meet my newest nephew, Cooper! I had prayed so much for this sweet baby and it was finally time to see him and squeeze him. I must admit, I was very nervous to hold him for the first time. I felt overwhelmed with the excitement of seeing him added with false pressures of thinking I need to jump into "Mommy mode" here pretty soon, when I feel like I don't have ANY of that yet. None the less, I held him and as soon as he cried I gave him to my mom.....I have some growing and learning to do :) So, here are my precious pictures of this little guy.

This is my brother holding Cooper at the wedding

A blurry picture of Betsy and Cooper
This was one highlight of my trip. I had been teasing Tammi that Cooper was trying to find his thumb all week to start sucking it. She was not crazy about that idea. But while we were at the wedding look what Cooper found...... his thumb!!! He made his Aunt Courtney so proud.

I love thumb suckers Cooper, don't let your momma make you stop!!
I am so proud of you and your little bundle of joy Tammi. You have become an amazing mother and it was fun to see you in that role. You just continue to become an amazing woman! I love having you as my sister. You are a huge light and joy in my life.

Getting ready

While we were home we were able to start getting a few things for the baby. Also, we have some amazing friends and family who were giving us things left and right. We are SO blessed.
For example: Jason and Stephanie gave us this cute little vibrating chair. We were able to take it apart and bring it back in a tote. Here is a short clip of Preston putting the chair back together!

Now the finished project.....

Of course, he had to be goofy.

Fun times! Thanks again Jason and Stephanie for the chair. We love it and I know Baby Goings will as well!!

Great Fellowship

Last Sunday we had a great day of fellowship. A couple from the church in Manzanillo came up to visit us. Since they were here we decided to have a BBQ before church started. We had a great crowd. We also had several new people and some people who hadn't been here in a while. It was a great day of fellowship and we thought you would love to see the group picture.

Keep praying for this fellowship to grow and grow!!

Halfway through

It is crazy to think we are already at the halfway point. It just seems like the other day that we found out and now we are closer to actually having a life that lives with us that we have to take care of....yikes! I feel like we have SO much to do and SO much to prepare for. We have been out crib shopping and starting to get the nursery cleaned out and ready for a permanent resident.
Our mom's, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and some dear friends are planning us a baby shower for while we are home in November. It is fun planning that, but stressful to think of all the little things you "need" with a baby coming. Anyway, enough about all that. Here are some belly pictures. I didn't think I had grown that much until I saw the pictures!! I am really starting to fill out.

Only 20 more weeks to go!!! I am sure they too will fly by.
Love you all.

Our ultrasound from Friday

Here is a fun little video from our last ultrasound. We didn't have a lot of good shots of the baby because we were trying to figure out the gender of the baby. As you can see the baby was doing quite the workout: jumping, stretching and even a little dancing!
Ultrasounds are hard to see what is really going on unless you know what you are looking at. The entire video you are watching the baby move its legs. Hope you are able to see it and enjoy.

Baby Goings

Here are some pictures from our ultrasound in August. In these pictures the baby was 14.5 weeks. These are the pictures we took home to show everyone. I thought you would enjoy seeing them as well.

Here the baby is sucking his thumb!

This one you can see the legs (just follow the spine)

What a cute little "guy" (NO gender intended in my "guy" Alicia and Andrea :)

Is it really true??

Remember on June 5th when we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary? Well, we were also celebrating another gift God had given us. That day we went to the Dr. to find out the Lord had blessed us with a 5 week old baby!!!
We were waiting to share our exciting news until I passed the first trimester. Well, I made it through and everyone was safe and sound. So, we decided we had already waited so long why not wait until we go home to tell our families. So we waited all of August to tell our families. While we were just home we shared the big news with our family and close friends. Now we are back in P.V and we have shared our big news with the church here. I went back to the Dr. today and all systems are a go. The baby is doing great and we are all healthy and happy.

Some of you may already know this news, for others....Surprise!! For all you detail people I will try to answer some common questions :)

When are you due? The beginning of February
How far along are you? 5 months....19 weeks
How did you hold it in so long? I have NO clue. We are nuts!
Do you know if it is a boy or girl yet? maybe :) but we are not telling yet. We can't tell you everything in one day!!
Are you going to have the baby in Mexico? Yes, I have a great Dr. and we have picked out a very nice private hospital.
Are we excited? Yes!! This wasn't in "our" plans so we are excited to see what God has up His sleeve for this little new life.

Yikes, I am sure there are more questions and for several days I will be catching you all up on the fun we have been having down here in P.V. Much more to come about Baby Goings. Now, you know how you can really be praying for us as we prepare for the next step.

This was our second appointment ultrasound on June 16 just to make sure the little guy was growing. The little baby is the white circle in the black circle. Much more to come!!!
