Fun/Funny times

Our week with Clay and Erin

Wow what an amazing week we have had with Clay and Erin!! They were here a total of 8 days and the Lord used them in mighty ways each and every day. We did so much that I can't talk about everything but I will try to give you the highlights of the trip. We were able to minister to many people while they were here.This first blog is the serious and in the next few days I will post the extra things we did.

First Clay preached Sunday and Thursday to the church and Preston translated. They both did a phenomenal job. Clay spoke about the Lord's prayer and taught the people how they too could begin to have a prayer life. The people in the church really seemed to be touched by the message.


Clay and Erin spent several days ministering to the people in the church. The people from the church of course really fell in love with them!!!


Throughout the week we would go out in the mornings and the evenings to distribute fliers about the new church and about some upcoming events this summer.It was neat because we opened up this mission opportunity to the church and many people responded. Everyday there was at least 3 or 4 people from La Esperanza with us. It is neat to see them join in the spreading of the gospel already. We were able to complete 6 large neighborhoods. We have received a few phone calls. We are really praying for all the people who received information and for them to be moved by the Lord in His perfect timing!


Tuesday we were able to minister to a woman from the church named Brigida. She came over and taught Erin and I how to make a traditional Mexican dish. We were able to spend the day with her and hopefully encourage her. She loves to both cook and teach...we wanted to bless her but she really blessed us!!



It is like Angie W. said....Puerto Vallarta will never be the same after this trip. I truly believe that. I really feel like the Lord used Clay and Erin. They were so willing to be used by the Lord whether it was ministering to new believers, passing out hope to the lost, encouraging and ministering to us, praying for the city or just the love they display for our Lord. Please join praying that PV will never be the same. Pray the Lord will use this past week to bring glory and honor to His name!!!

Everyone- thanks for your prayers for this week....the Lord is still on the move here!!

Clay and Erin- We will never be able to thank you enough. You will never understand how much you blessed us by just coming. I know the Lord is proud of you both. Thank you for your love and passion for Him. We thank the Lord for the friendship He has given us may we only grow closer! Thank you for working so diligently for our King no matter where you are!!!! We love you guys!!!!! P&C

Happy Birthday Bob, The big 21 on the 21st!!!!

Today is the birthday of my one and only brother. His real name is Troy but for years now I have called him Bob. Who knows...don't ask.

I am so proud of my brother. He is studying criminology and playing baseball at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. He manages school, work, baseball, a girlfriend and he still has time for friends!! I keep praying for my brother and his baseball team. My brother is definitely a light to a very dark place...and he knows it. Please pray for my brother to be used in mighty ways in reaching his baseball team and classmates for the Lord.





Bob, I love you so much. I am so glad to have you as my little brother even though now I am the "little" one. I couldn't ask for a better brother who loves me so much. I hope you know you mean the world to me and I look forward to the future and how God uses you!!!

Clay and Erin

These are our good friends Clay and Erin. Clay and Erin are from Springfield but they now live in Texas as Clay is going to seminary. They have decided to give their vacation time to come down here and help Preston and I. We are so honored to have them come work with us.
They will arrive this Sunday and they will be here for 8 days!!

Clay is going to preach to the church Sunday and Thursday and Preston is going to translate. Please be praying for the Lord to speak through both Preston and Clay those days.

Please be praying for the four of us to be used by God this next week. We are going to be walking around the neighborhoods and passing out information about the new church. Please be praying for the people who receive fliers. Pray their hearts would be soft and open to coming to study the Bible.

Preston and I both know this is going to be a time we will never forget. Our time with Clay and Erin is always an encouragement. Also for those of you who were praying for Erin's passport....it arrived today!!! Send some praises up to our Lord for He is so good....as always!

Our Mothers

We just love and cherish our Mothers. They both give us love and support daily. Whenever we need to call home the first ones to always pick up the phone and listen are our Mothers.

Lord, thank you so much for the two Mothers you have blessed us with. Lord we pray you would bless them for their years of service to you. Lord we pray you would continue to guide them and continue to use them in mighty ways. Thank you for blessing us with two godly women and the examples of you they represent. Lord thank you for Betty and Terry. I know you look down at them and smile because they are both beautifully and wonderfully made!!!

Finished Product

Several people have been asking about the Women's Craft Day on Tuesdays. It is still going very well. Tuesday Brigida and Elizabeth came. We had a fun time talking and laughing. I have some good news....I finally finished my purse!! The picture below is of me and my final product. I am pretty pleased.

I also wanted to let you know the last 2 weeks Tere and Chuy came. I was able to talk with them and they had lots of excuses why not to come to church. Please keep praying for them and for me to continue to build those friendships and pray one day the Lord will soften their hearts to seek after Him.

New Sister in Christ!!

This is Erika our newest sister in Christ. She came over to our house today and we finished the study on salvation. We told her we know this decision will be a hard one and she can take as long as she needs to think about it and she answered, no I am ready now!! She understood everything and she wanted to surrender to Christ! Please rejoice with us as we know the Lord is pleased to have another new child and the angels are rejoicing.

Erika is the best friend of Silvia who received Christ a few weeks ago. Silvia is the one who had been inviting Erika!! Now Erika was telling us she is trying to invite her sister Yuri. Please start praying for her and for the Lord to work in her life.

Thank you again for all your faithful prayers. The Lord is good and so faithful to hear and answer our cries for the nations!!!
