Preston and I, Erika, Cesar, Elizabeth and Erika's mom Patricia all headed south in the mini van to Manzanillo!

We were going to Manzanillo to meet the church there for the first time. The two churches keep hearing about each other but they had never met. So, this weekend was a huge deal. But also it was a time of fun, relaxation and bonding for us and the church.
We left P. V around 12:30 Saturday and arrived in Manzanillo around 5:00. We checked into our hotel, grabbed a bite to eat and headed downtown. Here are some pictures from downtown and our site seeing.

You can't really tell but this was a building downtown that was covered with birds. If you look closely on the railings you can see black dots everywhere....those are birds!!! It was hard to capture just how crazy it was!
That night at 8:00 we met at a local taco stand to meet some members of the church in Manzanillo. It was a great time of food and fellowship. Sorry, we don't have any pictures of this event :( But it was a great chance to get to know each other.
Then we headed back to the hotel to play some cards until the wee hours of the night. There were lots of laughs during this time. We were all starting to get tired and slap happy.
Patricia at our hotel
We woke up early to Preston making us omelets and then we went to church service at 11:00.
It was so great to worship with our brothers and sister of Manzanillo. Like I said before. It was a huge moment for those 2 churches to unite as one body.

After church we stopped at Subway ate lunch, said goodbye to Bill and Vicki and then headed back to P.V. We arrived back around 7:00. What a weekend!! We were all exhausted on Monday.But the Lord gave us a great weekend filled with lots of love, laughs and fun memories. We pray there will be more to come in the future between these 2 churches.
Some notes and laughs for the Spanish speaking readers.....

Thanks for sharing these pics and stories! I love both churches dearly and could barely contain myself at the thought of them meeting and worshiping together! It sounds like a great trip . . . and the pics of the big blue fish certainly brought back a few memories for me. :)
WOW-that's how the family should work for sure! My heart is moved and I can't wait to see the same happen in our country! Oh Lord may it be! What a great example for us to follow. And then on a bigger level, how awesome will it be for the same to happen around the throne with Manzanillo, PV, C-City, G-City, Bells, etc. HOLY HOLY HOLY!! Also, love the hair Preston. Love you guys!
Hey Court and Preston;
Great trip and great pictures!!! I so love how Cesar always has that "surprise" look when he gets his picture taken:) Have you guys noticed that? I am positive that the Lord was smiling on that blessed union of the two churches! Talk to you soon.
Love Ya,
MOM
